Desktop: Use WASD or Arrow Keys to move. Your character auto-attacks enemies in range.
Mobile: Use the on-screen joystick to move around the battlefield.
Defeat enemies to unlock new weapons. Equip up to 6 weapons simultaneously! Each weapon has 10 upgrade levels with increasing power.
Kill enemies to gain XP. When you level up, choose from 3 random upgrades: new weapons, weapon evolutions, or stat boosts.
Survive waves of enemies to earn $MRNL coins. Use coins to open vinyl boxes and get permanent bonuses for future runs!
Staying mobile is key to survival. Keep moving to avoid enemy attacks and maintain distance from large groups.
Combine weapons that complement each other. Mix close-range weapons like Guitar with long-range weapons like Drumsticks for maximum coverage.
Level up your main weapon to max level first before diversifying. A level 10 weapon is much more powerful than three level 3 weapons.
Always equip your 5 highest rarity vinyls! Even common vinyls give bonuses. Check your Studio frequently to optimize your loadout.
Focus on dangerous enemies first! Critics and fast enemies deal more damage. Take them out before dealing with weaker haters.
Equip vinyls with gold bonuses to earn more coins per run. More coins means more vinyl boxes and stronger permanent upgrades!

A: Vinyls are collectible items that give permanent bonuses to your character. Equip up to 5 vinyls at once in your Studio. Each vinyl provides damage, health, or speed bonuses that stack together. Collect all 20,000 unique vinyls!
A: Earn coins by playing the game and defeating enemies. Each kill rewards you with coins. You also earn bonus coins for surviving longer and reaching higher waves. Use coins to open vinyl boxes in the Studio.
A: Rarity determines bonus strength. Common vinyls give +1-2% bonuses, Rare give +3-6%, Epic give +7-12%, and Legendary vinyls give +15% bonuses! Legendary vinyls are extremely rare with only 0.1% drop chance.
A: Yes! MARNYL works on both desktop and mobile browsers. On mobile, use the virtual joystick to move. The game automatically adjusts for touch controls.
A: You can play without an account, but creating a free account lets you save your progress, collect vinyls, track stats, and compete on global leaderboards!
A: When you die, you keep all the $MRNL coins you earned during that run. Use them to open vinyl boxes and get stronger for your next attempt. Your vinyl collection is permanent!
A: When a weapon reaches level 10, you can evolve it by combining it with a specific item. Evolved weapons gain powerful new abilities and visual effects!
